Job description

Occupational Therapy Assistant, West London

Pay rate – £31.51 per hour

Contract role

Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant in West London.

You will need experience in this role within a Local Authority or NHS setting.

Role:
  1. Work as a member of the Complex Occupational Therapy Service with a clinical caseload of individuals with complex multiple pathologies, exhibiting psychological, neurological, emotional, behavioural, social problems, or age-related conditions.
  2. Assess and advise residents on all aspects of their daily life, considering legislation such as The Care Act 2014, the 1986 Disabled Persons (Services, Consultation and Representation) Act, the 1989 Children Act, the 1990 NHS and Community Care Act, the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act, and the 1996 Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act.
  3. Order equipment up to a £1000 threshold with authorization from line management.
  4. Work flexible hours according to service demand.
  5. Maintain concise records of assessments and contacts with residents, relatives, and other professionals, in line with departmental and professional policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • NVQ level 4 is desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse populations across various settings and age groups.
