Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) is offering an exciting full-time, permanent Occupational Therapy Assistant position with hybrid working in Berkshire. The role focuses on the Front Door Team, supporting adults to regain independence and stay connected to their communities.

You will carry a caseload and work with a multidisciplinary group, including Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

Qualifications

• Experience working within health, social care, occupational therapy, or a related support role.
• Be passionate about supporting adults to maintain independence and remain safe within their communities.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, carers, and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assessments and interventions for residents with physical disabilities, not excluding cognitive decline.
• Working with other professionals to support identified outcomes.
• Holding and managing a case load.

This is a full time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £26,895 - £30,132 per annum.

The role:

TheOccupational Therapy Assistantrole is within the Front Door Team which consists of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Social Care Practitioners.

The Front Door Team iswhere people begin their journey with Adult Social Care. It is the place where we listen first, understand what matters, and work alongside residents to find the right support at the right time. We work with adults across the borough who may be experiencing changes in their health, independence, or wellbeing. This includes people living with physical or sensory impairments, age-related conditions, mental health needs, neurodivergence, or substance use challenges. Our role is to offer early, short-term support, helping people regain confidence, maintain independence, and stay connected to their communities.

Your role will involve:
