Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke and Neurology team at one of the NHS Trust in North West of England. The trust provide services like acute care, emergency department, community services and other specialties.

The Trust only works on Direct Engagement Mode of payment.

Description:

The post holder will work in a dedicated OT team alongside a supportive MDT, to deliver occupational therapy as part of a 7 day service.

We are seeking applications from individuals with a passion for providing rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions. You will need to demonstrate time management skills and the ability to be flexible, to be able to manage a mixed acute and rehab caseload in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills will be key, as you will be working with patients and their families in stressful and complex situations. The successful candidate will also demonstrate good interpersonal skills and be committed to team working both within OT and the wider MDT.

Applicants will be supported to develop problem solving and specialist clinical skills essential for meeting the demands of this setting. Regular supervision will be provided and a staff appraisal system is in operation. department.

We are commissioned to provide a seven day services so flexibility to work weekends will be required.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on patient-centered care.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
