Job summary

Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the orthopaedic oncology team. You will provide tailored OT assessment and treatment for patients with complex sarcoma and metastatic conditions, including inpatient rehabilitation and short-stay care.

You will work with OT & PT colleagues, support learning and service development, and may deputise for the Band 7 Team Lead during absences. NHS staff benefits and CPD opportunities are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Experience in oncology/sarcoma rehabilitation and complex cases.
• Ability to assess and treat highly complex patients autonomously.
• Collaborative approach with OT & PT colleagues in sarcoma services.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OT services for complex disabilities in sarcoma and oncology.
• Independently assess and treat patients from pre-assessment to inpatient rehabilitation.
• Support weekend OT service to aid patient discharges.
• Collaborate with OT & PT colleagues to deliver multidisciplinary care.
• Deputise for Band 7 OT Team Lead when needed.
