Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel are seeking an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist for the Housing (Adaptations & Equipment) Team in Durham. This full-time temporary role runs from 8 June 2026 to 31 July 2026, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00.

You will assess housing needs, design interventions with housing teams, provide adaptation advice, conduct home visits, and document outcomes, supporting independence and improving quality of life across Seaham, Blackhall Colliery, Peterlee, Sedgefield, Chiltern

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in social care occupational therapy, particularly within housing, adaptations, and equipment provision.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
• Strong communication and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing needs for individuals requiring adaptations and equipment solutions.
• Collaborate with housing teams to design and implement appropriate interventions.
• Provide specialist guidance on major and minor adaptations to support independence.
• Conduct home visits to assess service users and recommend equipment/modifications.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
