Job summary

SJB Medical in Ware, Hertfordshire is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in a modern care and rehabilitation setting. You will work mainly within a dedicated 13-bed Intermediate Care Unit, supporting individuals discharged from hospital or referred for further rehab, helping regain independence and safe discharges.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proactive, compassionate, person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Deliver person-centred rehabilitation interventions.
• Provide advice to residents, families and MDT members.
• Participate in discharge planning and MDT meetings.
• Undertake home access visits to assess environments.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.
• Deliver training to care teams on equipment and rehab techniques.
• Promote independence and quality of life.
• Ensure health and safety and governance standards.
