Job summary

West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care Service, within the Occupational Therapy Team, to deliver high-quality assessments and person-centred interventions.

You will work with service users, families and professionals to promote independence, manage a diverse caseload, and ensure practice aligns with HCPC standards. This role involves safeguarding and DBS checks, with opportunities for flexible working and professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in a social care setting, ideally in a Local Authority.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and best practices.
• Excellent assessment and intervention skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' occupational needs.
• Provide advice and recommendations for aids, adaptations, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Deliver interventions to promote independence and participation in daily activities.
• Monitor and review progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
