Ceredigion Council Integrated Occupational Therapy Team

The successful candidate may be eligible to up to a maximum of £8,000 (including VAT) towards the cost of expenses incurred due of relocating to Ceredigion. This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2027.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, permanent post. Alternative full-time working hours may be considered for the right candidate.

Following the continued expansion of the Through Age Occupational Therapy team, this OT role has been created. It offers a unique opportunity to hold a Through Age clinical caseload, developing paediatric assessment and intervention skills alongside working with adults. There are also broad and exciting opportunities for professional development in technology-enabled care, the Penmorfa Centre for Independent Living and triage.

Role Purpose

Use the skills and unique perspective of Occupational Therapy to help Ceredigion Council deliver services that really make a difference in people’s lives.

Contribute to an OT team that is passionate about evidence-based practice and supporting each other.

Hold a diverse community clinical caseload, delivering assessments and interventions in people’s homes.

Apply an always-learning mindset while developing specialist skills and knowledge.

Day to day

You’ll actively use Occupational Therapy assessment skills and approaches, working directly with service users in their homes to reduce risk and promote independence from the point of first contact with social services.

You’ll develop productive professional relationships and an in-depth knowledge of Ceredigion’s services. This will help ensure people receive appropriate advice, information and access to services in a timely way, maximising quality and meaningful personal outcomes.

You’ll also play an important role in supporting unqualified staff and helping to move forward planned innovation and positive change as part of Team Ceredigion.
