Job summary

Manchester City Council is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Integrated Neighbourhood Teams in Manchester. You will conduct functional assessments, recommend equipment and home adaptations, and collaborate with Social Workers and Assessors to enable residents to live independently and safely.

The role requires BSc Hons Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration, with a driving licence for community visits.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration are required.
• Experience with functional assessments and integrated teams is essential.
• Full driving licence and willingness to use own car for community visits.

Responsibilities

• Undertake functional assessments and moving and handling assessments.
• Recommend equipment and home adaptations as appropriate.
• Provide advice, guidance and safeguarding support to promote prevention and rehabilitation.
• Help residents remain in their own homes, reducing formal care needs and prevent hospital admissions.
