Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join North Cumbria memory and Later Life services. You will provide evidence-based, occupation-focused assessments and interventions to patients with complex needs, with the ability to anticipate situations that may affect health and wellbeing of service users and carers.

The post involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to plan and deliver rehabilitation, ensure carer involvement, maintain safety, and promote recovery

Qualifications

• Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification.
• Registered with HCPC.
• Commitment to complete fieldwork education training.
• Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy service to service users with diverse needs and complex presentations.
• Manage ongoing assessment and intervention and review plans.
• Involve carers and families in intervention planning where appropriate.
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with service users and carers.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, client-centred care and promote recovery and independence.
