Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking occupational therapists to join its specialist education services for children and young people. Core duties include assessment, reporting and needs-led intervention, with guidance to school staff to implement strategies under specialist supervision.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams supporting pupils with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, aged 7 up to transition, with opportunities for clinical supervision and career development.

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate diploma in occupational therapy.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience with ASD and/or learning disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality assessments of young people.
• Write reports on young people's needs.
• Deliver needs-led interventions for young people.
• Work with school staff to embed strategies across the environment.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, care and education staff.
• Contribute to developing provision and the occupational therapy service.
• Work under guidance and supervision from a Highly Specialist OT and a Clinical Specialist Lead OT.

Posts sit within multidisciplinary teams supporting pupils with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, aged 7 up to transition. Candidates need an OT degree or postgraduate diploma and HCPC registration, and must pass an enhanced DBS check.
