Band 5 OT PT, 30 hours per week, permanent

We have a great opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the innovative Community Rehabilitation Service based at Hilda Johnson House.

The Community Rehab Team specialise in supporting individuals with complex and enduring mental health problems to reintegrate into the community, supporting them in their recovery journey while being able to offer varying levels of support either in their own homes or within the supported rehabilitation beds at Hilda Johnson House.

The team works closely with the complex care team & Summers View inpatient unit ensuring that service users are able to access a step up / step down model to their care and recovery, with the ultimate goal of least restrictive care in their local community.

The OT role within the team is to provide specialist community-based assessment and intervention to support services users in all aspects of their ongoing recovery, to promote engagement and meaningful occupation. This includes providing supervision, support and guidance to other members of the team when needed and developing/maintaining groups activities to promote rehab and recovery.

Successful candidates will have access to OT specific supervision, peer support and CPD opportunities.

Provide a clinical and professional service as a member of Multi-Disciplinary Team [MDT]

Operationally responsible as a clinician for their own caseload and the supervision of staff as required within the Service. This post includes skilled clinical work and requires the post holder to adapt to unpredictable changes and demands on the service.
