Job summary

West Heath School in Sevenoaks is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our on-site therapy team. This Band 7, part-time role covers 30 hours per week during term time, with holiday pay included.

You will conduct clinical assessments, develop therapy programmes, provide reports, and offer training as an integrated resource across the school, collaborating with SALT, Play Therapy, and Clinical Psychology colleagues.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCOT membership required.
• Experience with children and young people (ages 9–19) and SEMH strongly preferred.
• Ability to integrate therapy within a school setting and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessments, reports and therapy programmes; provide advice and training as an integrated resource across the school.
• Collaborate with SALT/Play Therapy/Clinical Psychology teams to support students holistically.

To support our students, we have our own onsite multi-disciplinary therapy department. You will work closely with an experienced team of colleagues from a range of disciplines including SALT/ Play Therapy/Clinical Psychology and of course another OT. You will be responsible for providing clinical assessments, reports, therapy programmes, advice, and training as an integrated resource across the school. Working with the team you will take a holistic approach to support the needs of our students to help them reach their full potential. Candidates should be registered to HCPC and be a member of RCOT. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children and young people (9 - 19) and you will have a strong understanding of SEMH.
