Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEMH school in Sevenoaks. You will work within an onsite multidisciplinary therapy team to support students aged ~9–19, delivering focused assessments, reports and therapy programmes.

You will be part of a collaborative team providing training and guidance to staff, with a strong emphasis on life skills, emotional wellbeing and progression towards adulthood.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• RCOT membership preferred.
• Experience with children/young people (9–19) is desirable.
• Strong SEMH understanding and impact.
• Ability to assess and develop therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Produce professional reports and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes.
• Provide specialist guidance to teaching staff.
• Deliver training to the school team.
• Collaborate with education and therapy colleagues.
• Support students’ emotional, social and functional development.
• Help students build independence and life skills.
• Contribute to a therapeutic approach focused on outcomes.
