Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Locum Occupational Therapist to join its client in Blackburn with Darwen. The role focuses on adult community assessments, enabling independence through high-quality OT interventions.

You will assess daily living activities, mobility, and environmental risks, and recommend equipment and adaptations to promote safe living. 18.5 hours/week; contract end date 31 January 2027; UK work eligibility and HCPC registration required.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Post-qualified experience.
• HCPC-registered.

Responsibilities

• Complete Occupational Therapy and functional assessments for adults within the community.
• Assess activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, environmental risks and barriers to independence.
• Recommend and prescribe equipment and adaptations to promote safe and independent living.
• Complete moving and handling assessments and provide recommendations to service users, carers and providers.
• Collaborate with service users, families, carers, Social Workers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support care planning through specialist OT advice around functional needs, risk and independence.
• Manage a varied caseload effectively, prioritising based on risk and need.
• Maintain accurate assessments, reports and clinical records.
• Apply person-centred approaches to achieve positive outcomes.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Maintain accurate and timely assessments, reports and clinical records
• Apply person-centred and strengths-based approaches to achieve positive outcomes for service users

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

• Eligible to work in the UK

• Post-qualified experience
• HCPC-registered
• Occupational Therapy Degree/Diploma
