Job summary

JustOT in Southwest London is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team in a permanent Band 6 role within an educational setting. You will deliver high-quality assessments and interventions, supporting children and young people, including those with Autism/ASC, to develop essential skills and promote participation.

The role requires HCPC registration, a qualification as an Occupational Therapist, and experience in education with strong communication and collaboration

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in South West London for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism, helping them develop essential skills and achieve positive outcomes in an educational environment.

The Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
• Provide therapy services within educational settings.
• Support children and young people with Autism/ASC and associated additional needs.
• Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes.
• Work closely with teachers, families, SENCOs and other professionals.
• Provide practical strategies to promote participation, independence and development.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and professional documentation.
• Contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Qualified Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working with children and young people.
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism/ASC.
• Strong clinical knowledge and relevant occupational therapy skill set.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an education and multidisciplinary environment.
