Momenta Connect is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our expanding multidisciplinary team in London. You will work mainly in mainstream school settings across Hillingdon, Uxbridge and Isleworth, delivering targeted interventions and developing therapy programmes.

HCPC registered with a BSc/MSc in OT, you will collaborate with SENCOs, families, and professionals, provide supervision, and contribute to staff training.

Looking to change into paediatric occupational therapy? At Momenta Connect, we offer an introduction to paediatrics program that supports with specific teaching and professional development goals within the skill areas required to work in Paediatric Occupational Therapy. We focus on upskilling in education and clinical settings, providing tailored training sessions in specific learning areas such as fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, handwriting, paediatric assessments such as Movement ABC, BOT, Beery VMI, and many more! At the end of your first year, you will have the tools to be an independent paediatric practitioner within school and/ or clinical settings with clinical supervision support along the way to further support your clinical and professional development.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Isleworth - London

Salary: Up to £40,250 per annum (DOE) – plus a welcome bonus of £2000 (£1000 after successful completion of 3 months and £1000 after successful completion of probation)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our expanding multi-disciplinary team working primarily in mainstream school settings within the Hillingdon, Uxbridge, and Isleworth area.

This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the area’s inclusive education strategy. In this vital role, you will implement universal strategies and targeted interventions across mainstream schools. By delivering high-quality workforce development, you will empower school staff to confidently lead and support whole-school intervention planning.

You will:

• Deliver targeted interventions.
• Develop therapy programmes.
• Support SENCOs and school staff in delivering universal strategies.
• Deliver pupil-centred intervention plans.
• Work collaboratively with families and professionals.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary and teaching teams across various school settings you will ensure that interventions are modelled and effectively integrated into school life. A key function is equipping key adults with the skills to confidently support pupils in achieving their therapy goals. Operating through a graduated response model aligned with the SEND Code of Practice, ensuring children and young people receive the right level of support at the right time.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven track record in educational environments, paired with the strong communication skills necessary to influence key stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

• BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience working with this client group in a similar setting.
• Highly experienced in providing professional and clinical supervision.
• Highly experienced in developing training.

Desirable:

• Experience of implementing universal strategies and targeted interventions.
• Supervisory Experience.
• Experience working with complex behaviours.
• Experience completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care Plans.
• CPD and/or training.
• Trauma-Informed care experience.
• Experience working with paediatric social, emotional, and mental health needs.
