Job summary

Momenta Connect is seeking a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to support children and young people in school settings, with some clinic-based and remote opportunities where appropriate. You will assess EHCP-related needs, deliver specialist interventions and help therapy goals become part of everyday life.

  • HCPC and RCOT registration required
  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally in school-based or specialist settings
  • Experience completing assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH, complex or developmental needs
  • Specialist CPD, trauma-informed practice or other relevant training

Responsibilities

About the role

You'll work mainly in school settings, with some clinic‑based and remote opportunities where appropriate. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll help unlock children and young people's potential by assessing EHCP‑related needs, delivering specialist interventions and supporting therapy goals to become part of everyday life.

In this role, you'll:

  • Assess children and young people's developmental and learning needs, including those linked to Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Develop, deliver and review individualised occupational therapy intervention plans.
  • Work with parents, carers, teaching teams and multi‑disciplinary colleagues to embed therapy goals into daily life.

It's a varied role where you'll balance assessment, intervention, consultation and collaboration, while making a visible difference to children, families and school teams every day.
