Job summary

Momenta Connect is seeking an Occupational Therapist to support children and young people, mainly in school settings with some clinic- and remote-based work. You will assess EHCP-related needs and deliver targeted interventions while collaborating with families, schools and a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers flexible hours, 37.5 per week, and a permanent contract with additional seasonal options. Relocation support and wellbeing benefits enhance the package.

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and support children and young people's developmental and learning needs in school and clinic settings.
  • Develop, deliver and review individualised occupational therapy intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers and multi-disciplinary colleagues to embed therapy goals into daily life.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings.

At Momenta Connect, we offer an introduction to paediatrics program that supports with specific teaching and professional development goals within the skill areas required to work in Paediatric Occupational Therapy. We focus on upskilling in education and clinical settings, providing tailored training sessions in specific learning areas such as fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, handwriting, paediatric assessments such as Movement ABC, BOT, Beery VMI, and many more! At the end of your first year, you will have the tools to be an independent paediatric practitioner within school and/ or clinical settings with clinical supervision support along the way to further support your clinical and professional development.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Location: Croydon, London

Salary: Up to £50,000 FTE, dependent on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working across 5 days (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Permanent, with 52-week, summer contract and part-time options available. The summer contract offers five weeks off during the summer break plus 22 days’ annual leave.

About the role

You’ll work mainly in school settings, with some clinic-based and remote opportunities where appropriate. As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll help unlock children and young people’s potential by assessing EHCP-related needs, delivering specialist interventions and supporting therapy goals to become part of everyday life.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Assess children and young people’s developmental and learning needs, including those linked to Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Develop, deliver and review individualised occupational therapy intervention plans.
  • Work with parents, carers, teaching teams and multi-disciplinary colleagues to embed therapy goals into daily life.
  • Equip key adults with practical strategies, evaluate impact, maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings.

It’s a varied role where you’ll balance assessment, intervention, consultation and collaboration, while making a visible difference to children, families and school teams every day.

What you’ll need
  • HCPC and RCOT registration
  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
It would be great if you also bring
  • Paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally in school-based or specialist settings
  • Experience completing assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH, complex or developmental needs
  • Specialist CPD, trauma-informed practice or other relevant training
