Job summary

Priory Hospital Glasgow is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Eating Disorders Unit on a full-time basis. You will work site-based, delivering specialist assessments and tailored therapy programmes.

You will collaborate with service users, families and the multidisciplinary team, respond to referrals, and use evidence-based approaches to promote recovery and independence. Applications welcomed from newly qualified OTs.

• Assess needs and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with service users, families, carers and the MDT to develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes.
• Respond to referrals, conduct comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement and review treatment programmes using evidence-based approaches.

Priory Hospital Glasgow is one of the UK’s leading inpatient treatment centres, providing specialist support for mental health conditions and addictions.

We provide evidence-based treatment for a range of mental health problems, including treatment for depression, as well as alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will be required to work within the Eating Disorders Unit, providing specialist support and care to individuals receiving treatment for eating disorders.

What you'll be doing

You’ll assess the needs of the people we support and deliver high-quality, person-centred therapeutic interventions that promote their mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being. Working closely with service users, their families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you’ll develop and deliver tailored therapy programmes that support individuals to achieve their goals and maximise their independence.

You’ll respond promptly to referrals, carry out comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement, and review effective treatment programmes using a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
