Job description

OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENIST / TECHNOLOGIST, Doncaster

As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Qualified or Part Qualified Occupational Hygienist / Technologist to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

As a member of the team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in safety and exposure monitoring, as well as knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

1. Delivery of Occupational Hygiene Consultancy Services to varied clients
2. To produce technical reports detailing site observations, laboratory results and offering advice and guidance to the client
3. To ensure all relevant quality/accreditation standards are achieved and maintained

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

1. Degree educated or equivalent
2. BOHS W501 & W503 as a minimum
3. Full Driving License
4. Proficient IT Skills
5. Excellent communication and relationship building skills
6. Ability to use own initiative and good time management skills
7. BOHS W505, W507 & P601 desirable

About Environmental –

Our Environmental team is made up of many different specialists all operating in within different areas of expertise. The main areas we cover are Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, and Occupational Hygiene, together with specialist laboratories to support our services. Our services range from on-site monitoring and sample collection, ranging from local businesses to large Government contracts, to consultancy works on large contaminated land projects, complimented with onsite works for dust, noise, and local exhaust emissions. We pride ourselves in our ability to consult, monitor and test for our clients, supporting all their needs in one place, using our highly trained employees.
