Job summary

Pontoon Solutions is seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Wellbeing leader to shape strategy across a nationally significant infrastructure programme in the UK. You will influence senior leaders, align partner organisations, and embed proactive health and wellbeing practices across thousands of workers.

The role offers hybrid working with occasional site travel, and the opportunity to drive enterprise-wide standards and long-term organisational performance within a complex delivery

• Lead the development and implementation of Occupational Health & Wellbeing strategy across a major infrastructure partnership.
• Act as the Director's delegated authority for Occupational Health & Wellbeing matters.
• Coordinate multiple partner organisations to establish consistent standards and best practices.
• Develop frameworks, guidance and resources for OH, wellbeing and workplace health initiatives.
• Lead enterprise-wide OH & Wellbeing forums and stakeholder groups.
• Manage strategic relationships with wellbeing providers and charity partners.
• Produce executive-level reporting, dashboards and insights for senior decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and industry best practice.
• Provide assurance around OH risk management, health surveillance, workplace wellbeing and fitness-for-work arrangements.
• Develop awareness campaigns, training programmes and wellbeing initiatives.

An outstanding opportunity for a senior Occupational Health, Wellbeing, Health & Safety, or Workplace Health professional to shape strategy, influence industry-leading partners, and drive best practice across one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.

We're working with a major national infrastructure partnership to recruit an Occupational Health & Wellbeing Lead.

This is a strategic, enterprise-wide position responsible for developing and embedding a consistent approach to Occupational Health and Wellbeing across a multi-billion-pound programme spanning 14 major projects and multiple delivery partners.

This is not a traditional compliance, auditing, or project-specific occupational health role.

Instead, you'll act as the central point of leadership for Occupational Health & Wellbeing, bringing together a diverse partnership of organisations, aligning best practices, driving innovation, and creating a shared strategy that supports thousands of workers across a complex delivery environment.

You'll have the opportunity to influence senior leaders, shape enterprise-wide frameworks, and champion initiatives that improve workforce wellbeing, mental health, occupational health standards and long-term organisational performance.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the development and implementation of Occupational Health & Wellbeing strategy across a major infrastructure partnership.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in Occupational Health, Workplace Wellbeing, Employee Wellbeing, Health Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience operating in a senior leadership or strategic role.
• Experience developing and implementing occupational health and wellbeing strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively.
• Experience building consensus across multiple organisations, teams or business units.
• Strong understanding of occupational health governance, risk management and compliance.
• Experience developing training, awareness and behavioural change initiatives.

• Major infrastructure, construction, engineering or complex programme environments.
• Experience working across joint ventures, partnerships or multi-organisation programmes.
• Wellbeing, mental health and workforce resilience programmes.
• Organisational transformation and culture change initiatives.
