West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service is seeking an Occupational Health Technician for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is full-time (37 hours) with hybrid working at Fire Service HQ, Birkenshaw.

You will conduct health assessments, maintain equipment, refer to OH Advisors when needed, and provide administrative support to ensure efficient OH unit operations while promoting wellbeing across the workforce.

Formación

• Experience in healthcare support roles such as Health Screening or Occupational Health.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to perform administrative tasks.
• Able to work independently and know when to refer to a Health Advisor or Physician.
• Knowledge of infection prevention, confidentiality and data protection.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out baseline and periodic health assessments for firefighters and staff.
• Maintain health screening equipment calibration and quality checks.
• Provide admin, clinical and reception support for the OH Unit.
• Keep accurate records and assist data management.
• Support health promotion and raise OH wellbeing awareness.
