Job summary

Optima Health is seeking an Occupational Health Screening Nurse to join our team in Plymouth. This part-time role (15 hours weekly, Tuesdays and Thursdays) includes immunisations, health surveillance and pre-placement questionnaires, with training provided.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, maintain NMC registration, and contribute to a proactive wellbeing program for client employees across the UK. Flexible development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with NMC registration.
• Experience delivering immunisations or venepuncture.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a range of Occupational Health services and clinics for our client.
• Advise our clients on current immunisation services and recommendations for improvement.
• Conducting immunisation health assessments and surveillance, relating to potential exposure to health risks at work.
• Promoting employee health and wellbeing for our clients and across the wider business.
• Giving health education on relevant issues, promoting a healthy lifestyle to all employees in order to maximise participation in activities at work and elsewhere.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team by sharing knowledge, supporting and challenging your peers.
• Maintaining registration and Continuous Professional Development by meeting or exceeding standards set by the NMC.

Job Title: Occupational Health Screening Nurse

Role Summary

We are looking for a Nurse to join the Optima team. Whether you already have occupational health experience or not, this is a great opportunity with training included. This role will include carrying out a mixture of immunisations, health surveillance, pre placement questionnaires and Mantoux/BCG. In return, we offer an industry-leading training and development program to help you get where you want to go in Occupational Health. If you want to carry out additional training and qualifications or take on a leadership and management responsibility, then we will help support you.
