Job description

Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join a supportive occupational health team, delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across two established workplace locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically confident physiotherapist to make a real difference to employee health and wellbeing. You will provide expert assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions, helping individuals recover from injury, improve physical function and maintain their ability to work safely and effectively.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary occupational health team, you will contribute to injury prevention, workplace wellbeing and the development of practical solutions that support employees in their working environment.

Due to the multi-site nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnose and treat a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Assess and classify MSK conditions according to their relationship with work.
  • Develop and deliver effective rehabilitation plans for work-related and non-work-related musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Prepare clinical reports outlining fitness for work and recommending appropriate workplace adjustments, including temporary, long-term or permanent modifications.
  • Carry out Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments, providing ergonomic guidance and recommending suitable equipment or workplace adjustments.
  • Identify workplace hazards and assess their potential impact on musculoskeletal health.
  • Advise on changes to working practices, equipment and environments to reduce the risk of injury and support recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational health colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records and treatment documentation.
  • Collect relevant clinical and statistical information to support service reporting.
  • Contribute to workplace health promotion activities and initiatives.
You will need:
  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • At least two years' experience specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Understanding of workplace ergonomics and fitness-for-work assessments.
  • Confident IT skills and the ability to use relevant clinical systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a varied caseload and exercise sound clinical judgement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A customer-focused, flexible and organised approach to work.
  • Strong planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet agreed service objectives.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Membership of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE).
  • Experience delivering occupational health physiotherapy services in a workplace setting.
