Job summary

Occupational Health Staffing Limited is recruiting an Occupational Health Physician to work in Preston with home-based work 2-5 days per week and monthly on-site in Preston. The role emphasises case management, health surveillance and pre-placement health assessments.

The successful candidate will provide medical advice on disability to insurers and act as Medical Advisor to pension trustees on fitness for entry into pension schemes, including early retirement reviews where required.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Occupational Health Physician with strong case management and health surveillance experience.
• Experience with pre-placement consultations and disability advice for insurers.

Responsibilities

• Case management and attendance/performance management responsibilities.
• Provide health surveillance and pre-placement health assessments.
• Offer medical advice on disability to client insurers for claims.
• Act as Medical Advisor to pension trustees on fitness for entry into pension schemes.
• Support pension schemes with early retirement reviews and related processes.
• Serve as professional witness in judicial environments such as employment tribunals.

Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Physician to work in Preston + Home-based on a Permanent basis 2-5 days/week. You will be required to work onsite in Preston once per month.

The role will involve:

• Case management
• Attendance and performance management
• Ill health retirement advice
• Pre-placement consultations
• Health surveillance
• Medical advice on disability to client insurance companies for claims
• Provide clinical advice as Medical Advisor to pension trustees on fitness for entry into pension schemes
• Claims for early retirement and reviews on existing schemes
• Act as professional witness for clients in judicial environments e.g. employment tribunals
