Job summary

Nothing But Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our client’s team in Preston. The role offers flexible working with a minimum commitment of two days per week and potential for up to full-time hours, depending on availability.

You will provide expert medical advice on occupational health issues, support sickness absence management, and help maintain high employee health standards across industries. GMC registration is required.

Qualifications

• Current GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
• Minimum of 2 years' demonstrable experience in a similar role within the private sector.
• Strong understanding of employment law.
• Proficient in Outlook and Word; Excel/PowerPoint beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical advice to private and public sector organisations on occupational health issues.
• Advise insurers on disability claims and support pension trustees in assessing fitness for pension schemes.
• Utilise internal medical records systems to maintain documentation and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Offer health surveillance services and act as a witness in settings such as tribunals.
• Collaborate with administrators and team leaders to address client queries.

• Utilise internal medical records systems to maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical procedures.
• Offer health surveillance services and act as a professional witness in judicial environments, such as employment tribunals.
• Collaborate with administrators and team leaders to address client and patient queries effectively.

What we are looking for

• Current GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
• A minimum of 2 years' demonstrable experience in a similar role within the private sector.
• Strong understanding of employment law.
