Job summary

Optima Health is recruiting an Occupational Health Physician for a hybrid role in Middlesborough, with two days per week on client site and the remainder working from home. The permanent position offers full or part-time hours (minimum three days per week) with a salary between £85,000 and £135,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

The role involves FMA work, telephone and face-to-face consultations, sickness absence and attendance case management, ill-health retirement advice,

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration
• Minimum 6 months experience as an Occupational Health Physician
• Good understanding of clinical governance

Hours: Full time or Part time – minimum 3 days per week

Right to live and work in the UK is required for this role along with high level security vetting.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join our team. This role is a hybrid role and there is a requirement to support a client in the blue light sector in the Middlesborough region where you will spend 2 days a week working on customer site. The remainder of your working week will be spent working from home.

You will be required to carry out:

• FMA work
• Conducting both telephone and face to face consultations
• Sickness absence management
• Attendance and performance case management
• Ill-health retirement advice
• Pre-Placement consultations
• Health surveillance
• HAVs Tier 4 assessments

Who Are We Looking For?

• Diploma in Occupational Medicine (Dip Occ Med) or AFOM/MFOM
• Previous experience as an Occupational Health Physician (OHP) with a minimum of 6 months experience
• A Medical Practitioner who has, since full registration, consolidated their skills and continued their medical education in line with the requirements of continuing medical education/continuing professional development
• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Good understanding of the role and implications of clinical governance
