Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinic Nurse to join the Occupational Health team. You will plan, implement and evaluate individualised care for staff, provide vaccination services and pre-employment screening, and contribute to a holistic health and wellbeing programme for all staff.

You will work within policy frameworks, be involved in health surveillance and liaise with Infection Control and other specialists as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with evidence of post-registration development.
• Post-registration OH qualification is desirable.
• Experience in Occupational Health is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations safely and provide advising on occupational immunisations.
• Carry out pre-employment screening and assess fitness to work.
• Identify where the Equality Act applies and refer to specialists as needed.
• Participate in health promotion activities within the department.
• Be accountable for clinical actions and know your limitations.
• Work within SOPs and relevant governing guidelines for immunisations.
