Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a dynamic occupational health nurse to deliver immunisations, pre-employment screening, and health surveillance across Salus client sites. The role involves travel, on-site clinic duties, and continued professional development.

The post may serve as a training role for the right candidate, with opportunities to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and develop skills in venepuncture, driving duties, and customer liaison across multiple sites in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with NMC registration and minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Ongoing professional development and CPD activities expected.
• Training in spirometry, audiometry and vision screening desirable or willingness to train.
• Experience or training in venepuncture and immunisation procedures.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Must hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake immunisations and venepuncture within guidelines and protocols.
• Conduct pre-employment health screening and related assessments.
• Maintain up-to-date pre-employment database for service delivery.
• Travel to Salus customer sites; work across client/business sites; occasional overnight stays.
• Support extended role procedures and emergency preparedness in clinics.
