Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Registered General Nurse to join the Salus external business team in a permanent occupational health role. You will deliver immunisations, health surveillance and pre-employment screening across client sites, with travel between locations required.

The position offers a Band 5 salary, 36 hours per week, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Evidence of spirometry, audiometry and vision screening training or willingness to undertake training.
• Evidence of venepuncture experience.
• Evidence of presentation skills.
• Car owner with full UK/EU/EEA licence; willingness to work out of hours and travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-employment health screening within agreed timescales, and arrange and undertake further assessment as required (e.g., baseline health surveillance, drug testing, drivers health assessment).
• Ensure pre-employment database is up to date and fully completed to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Take professional responsibility for administration of immunisation and venepuncture following guidelines and protocols.
• Ensure that immunisation materials are in-date and safe and that emergency supplies are available.
