Job summary

Greys Specialist Recruitment is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor in Bodmin for a 6-month hybrid contract, two days per week. The role focuses on health surveillance, immunisations, phlebotomy, and case management across a diverse client base.

You will deliver health surveillance programmes (HAVS, audiometry, spirometry) and support wellbeing initiatives while maintaining high clinical standards. Prior experience in occupational health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be an RGN with a valid NMC PIN.
• Experience in an occupational health setting is required.
• Competent in health surveillance, HAVS, audiometry, and spirometry.
• Immunisations, phlebotomy and case management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health surveillance programmes including HAVS, audiometry and spirometry.
• Carry out immunisations and phlebotomy to current clinical standards.
• Manage occupational health referrals, sickness absence and fitness for work.
• Support health and wellbeing initiatives and service improvement.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to deliver a full range of occupational health services across a diverse client base. The position combines health surveillance, immunisations, phlebotomy, and case management, with a primary focus on health surveillance, providing a hands‑on and rewarding workload.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver health surveillance programmes, including HAVS, audiometry, and spirometry.
• Carry out immunisations and phlebotomy in line with current clinical standards.
• Manage occupational health case referrals, including sickness absence, fitness for work, and return‑to‑work assessments.
• Promote health and wellbeing initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of occupational health services.

Skills & Experience

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Previous experience working within an occupational health setting.
• Occupational Health qualification (Diploma, Degree, or equivalent) is desirable.
• Competent in health surveillance, including HAVS, audiometry, and spirometry.
• Experience in immunisations, phlebotomy, and occupational health case management.
