Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking a qualified Occupational Health Advisor for an ad-hoc, casual role. The workload varies with peaks and requires you to provide high-quality clinical advice and evidence-based reports.

The position supports an in-house nurse-led Occupational Health team, with a mix of face-to-face, telephone or video consultations and a setting near town centre transport links. DBS checks and right-to-work will be required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Health Advisor with 2+ years of case management experience.
• Experience in a Local Authority setting preferred.
• Able to provide high-quality clinical advice and evidence-based reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical advice and evidence-based reports for cases.
• Manage 4–6 cases per day depending on complexity, with a mix of face-to-face, telephone or video consultations.
• Work as part of an in-house, nurse-led Occupational Health team.

Salary: NJC Grade H1 SCPs 27 - 30 (£20.46 - £21.83 per hour)

Are you a qualified Occupational Health Advisor with over 2 years of case management experience, preferably within a Local Authority setting and are looking for occasional hours on an ad-hoc basis? Are you able to provide high-quality clinical advice and evidence-based reports, and have an interest in more complex case management, then we would love to hear from you.

This is an exciting time to work as part of our casual team and there will no commitment for set hours, but we will call upon you when we have peaks in workload. Workload is likely to consist of 4 to 6 cases per day dependant on case complexity and may be a mix of face-to-face, telephone or video consultations.

We are a friendly, supportive and established in-house nurse-led Occupational Health team with administrators, screening nurses, OHA’s, a Mental Health OHA and OHP, working from a purpose built OH suite within a modern office in the town centre near to all transport links.
