Salary: Band 6, based on 37 hours per week, with salary depending on experience: less than 2 years A GBP 36,840, 2-5 years A GBP 28,879, over 5 years A GBP 44,362, plus a Market Supplement

The Role

Registered Nurse required for a training opportunity in Occupational Health. The Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset Policing Alliance seeks a Registered Nurse interested in postgraduate training in Occupational Health, providing clinical advice to police staff and officers.

Role Details

The successful candidate will receive extensive training covering:

• Health surveillance for safety-critical roles
• Health screening
• Immunisation programmes (coordination and delivery)
• Venepuncture (coordination and delivery)
• Management referrals into Occupational Health (becoming a case manager)
• Advising on fitness for work
• Understanding legislative and national implications

After consolidation, funding is available for the MSc in Community Public Health Nursing at UWE, leading to eligibility for Part III of the NMC Specialist Register. The study is part-time over 3 years, with mentorship and practice assessor support.
