Job description

Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Location: Warton

Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week

My client, a leading organisation in the field of Occupational Health, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to the employees of a major client.

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, professional clinical services that are integral to the quality of care the employees receive. The role involves assessing and managing minor injuries and illnesses, carrying out case management, providing travel health services, vaccinations, and conducting health surveillance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering a full Occupational Health service in line with the client contract, including wellbeing assessments, health promotion, advice and education, health surveillance, safety-critical medicals, travel health, travel assessments, vaccinations, drug and alcohol testing, etc.
  2. Providing professional advice, support, and guidance to employees.
  3. Assessing new employees presenting to Occupational Health.
  4. Determining individuals' fitness to work for their respective job roles.
  5. Clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness or injury.
  6. Providing health surveillance services to ensure the wellbeing of employees.
  7. Maintaining clinical assessment skills in line with best practices and guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in A&E or intensive care is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health and employment legislation.
  • Previous Occupational Health experience is preferable.
  • Registered Nurse (Part 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Occupational Health (or equivalent).
  • Diploma in Occupational Health (or relevant qualification).

Salary & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from 34,000 to 36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
