Job summary

Drs Direct Ltd seeks an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor in Birkenhead to join a fast-growing OH team. You will conduct referrals, sickness absence assessments, and provide practical fitness-for-work guidance while supporting sustainable return-to-work plans for employees.

The role requires current NMC registration, OH qualification or significant experience, and strong report-writing and communication skills. Excellent benefits and a supportive MDT environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Occupational Health qualification, or significant Occupational Health experience.
• Competent in venipuncture, health surveillance and clinical assessment.
• Strong case management and fitness-for-work experience.
• Exceptional communication and report-writing skills.
• A compassionate, proactive and employee-focused approach.
• Self-motivated, with the confidence to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conducting management referrals and sickness absence assessments.
• Providing balanced, practical fitness for work advice.
• Supporting employees with safe and sustainable returns to work.
• Advising on reasonable workplace adjustments.
• Producing high-quality reports that help managers make informed decisions.
• Providing ongoing support where continuity of care benefits the individual.
