Job summary

Examworks UK is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join the Health & Wellbeing team in Burton-on-Trent. This full-time, onsite role involves managing a diverse OH caseload, delivering high-quality services and working closely with employees and managers to promote workplace wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will be an NMC registered nurse with OH experience, a relevant qualification (or be working towards one), and strong case management, reporting, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NMC Registered Nurse with current practice status.
• Minimum 2 years' Occupational Health experience.
• Occupational Health qualification or actively working towards one.
• Experience with Health Surveillance and Fitness for Work assessments.
• Experience conducting Safety Critical Medicals.
• Strong case management and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of Occupational Health services including fitness for work assessments, sickness absence management, vocational rehabilitation and pre-employment assessments.
• Deliver vaccinations and immunisation programs as part of workplace health initiatives.
• Advise managers and HR on OH matters and support workplace adjustments and return‑to‑work plans.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with the Lead OH Nurse, HR teams and stakeholders across the business.

We're recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our Occupational Health & Wellbeing team based in Burton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an autonomous OH professional who enjoys managing a varied caseload, working closely with employees and managers, and delivering high-quality Occupational Health services that positively impact workplace health and wellbeing.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you'll provide the full range of Occupational Health services, including:

• Fitness for Work assessments
• Sickness absence management
• Vocational rehabilitation
• Pre-employment assessments
• Safety Critical Medicals
• Immunisations and vaccination programmes
• Workplace health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
• Advising managers and HR on Occupational Health matters
• Providing guidance on workplace adjustments and return-to-work plans

You’ll work independently while collaborating closely with the Lead Occupational Health Nurse, HR teams and key stakeholders across the business.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• NMC Registered Nurse
• Minimum 2 years' Occupational Health experience
• Occupational Health qualification (Diploma/Degree) or working towards
• Experience with Health Surveillance and Fitness for Work assessments
• Experience conducting Safety Critical Medicals
• Strong case management and report-writing skills
• Understanding of SEQOHS standards and Occupational Health legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
