Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to deliver and evolve a proactive health service. You will promote wellbeing, optimise attendance and support staff and managers with health-based decisions.

The role requires a registered nurse with OH qualifications, experience in OH advisory duties, and knowledge of health surveillance. Part-time 29.6 hours per week, permanent contract, MV vetting level.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a post graduate diploma or undergraduate degree in Occupational Health.
• Experience as an Occupational Health Advisor providing advice and guidance.
• Knowledge of health surveillance and fitness for work assessments.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking case management and producing management reports to assess and authorise recuperative duties, adjustments and return to work programmes.
• Providing advice, guidance and support to staff, managers and HR
• Participating in a range of case conferences, providing health/medical advice to assist with decision making
