Overview
I am looking for an Occupational Health Advisor to provide the full Occupational Health remit, including consultation, advice, education, medical assessments, and D&A testing where appropriate.
The role involves conducting case management appointments, assessing employee fitness for work, and issuing fitness certificates.
Responsibilities
- To provide expert case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice.
- Provide professional, comprehensive and written reports.
- Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH.
- Provide fitness medicals and health surveillance that meet best practice requirements and in line with Health Partners’ policies and protocols.
- Evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate.
- Maintain valid and up-to-date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse.
- Be proficient in the provision of Spirometry, Audiometry, General Medicals, Case Management, Fitness for role assessment.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (Part 1) with a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma.
- Maintain valid and up-to-date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse.
- Proficiency in Spirometry, Audiometry, General Medicals, Case Management, Fitness for role assessment.
Hours
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
Location
This is a hybrid role based at our client's site in Derby, you will be expected to work on-site three days a week whilst working the other two days at home.
