Job summary

Thales in Crawley is offering a 2027 Obsolescence Management Engineer Apprentice – Level 6 Applied Professional Engineering Apprenticeship. The programme combines university study with on‑the‑job experience, with a start date of 06 September 2027 and a salary of £24,000 per year.

You'll study towards a Level 6 degree apprenticeship with Warwick University, exploring obsolescence management and component engineering while gaining hands-on project exposure and potential permanent roles.

Qualifications

• A Levels required; 112 UCAS tariff points.
• A Levels grade B or above in Maths and at least one additional STEM/engineering subject.
• GCSEs: minimum five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English Language, Maths and an additional STEM subject.

Responsibilities

• Supporting equipment requirements and design activities.
• Contributing to project reviews.
• Participating in product testing and mitigation activities.
• Assisting with engineering investigations and problem solving.
• Visiting customer sites where required.
• Working with experienced Obsolescence Manager/Component engineers on live projects.
