Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Observability Engineer to support the delivery and ongoing development of Trust-wide monitoring and observability across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments. The role ensures performance, availability and reliability of patient-care digital systems.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a digital related discipline or equivalent.
• Foundational training in network and systems infrastructure.
• Significant operational experience within an enterprise-scale organisation across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Support Trust-wide observability across on-premise, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Implement and maintain telemetry collection, correlation, retention and visualisation.
• Support patient-critical systems monitoring and early issue detection.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cybersecurity and clinical safety teams.
• Onboard new technical systems into observability and alerting platforms.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring tools to ensure reliability.
• Assist incident investigations and post-incident reviews.
• Identify gaps and improve dashboards, alerts and coverage.
