Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Yeovil District Hospital. The role combines undergraduate medical education with valuable clinical exposure within a busy O&G department and access to a broad range of subspecialist interests.

You will contribute to teaching around 70 Bristol medical students annually, while maintaining your clinical development and participating in the resident on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration
• MBBS or equivalent
• MRCOG Part 1
• Desirable: Full RCOG membership

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and innovative teaching sessions (case-based learning, clinical skills, bedside teaching, simulation)
• Assess and develop medical students (OSCEs, workplace-based assessments, CBDs)
• Act as professional mentor and role model to students
• Participate in obstetrics and gynaecology clinical duties and on-call rota (1 in 8)
• Support undergraduate medical education and student feedback
