Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced O365 Infrastructure Engineer (SC Cleared) for a 6-month initial contract in Manchester. The role is 5 days onsite per week with PAYE via an umbrella. You will work on Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure and end-user environments, contributing to infrastructure projects, automation and service improvement.

The candidate will manage incidents, support BAU services, automate tasks and produce high-quality documentation, taking a lead in modern workplace projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365 / M365 environments.
• Hands-on use of Intune / MDM for end-user management.
• Strong knowledge of Azure components and identity.
• Experience with end-user computing support and desktop management.
• Proficiency with Office applications, SharePoint and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, tune and troubleshoot enterprise systems and incidents.
• Support O365 and MDM teams to meet BAU SLA commitments.
• Plan and schedule technical project activities with Project Managers.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve reliability and reduce errors.
• Produce technical documentation including HLDs and configurations.
• Take a lead role in new IT infrastructure and modern workplace projects.
• Share knowledge and best practices across client environments.
• Provide senior-level support for collaborative systems and SOEs.

6-Month Initial Contract | Inside IR35 | PAYE via Umbrella

Manchester | 5 Days Onsite per Week

Rate: £500-£550 per day inside IR35

We're looking for an experienced O365 / MDM Senior Engineer to join a major UK technology programme, supporting enterprise collaboration, endpoint management and modern workplace services.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role covering Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure and end-user environments, with the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects, automation and service improvement.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

• Monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting enterprise systems, resolving incidents and service requests
• Supporting the O365 and MDM teams in delivering BAU services and SLA commitments
• Managing and scheduling technical project activities, working closely with Project Managers to deliver planned outcomes
• Automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency, reliability and reduce manual error
• Producing high-quality technical documentation, including HLDs and service/toolset configuration documentation
• Taking a lead role in new IT infrastructure and modern workplace projects
• Sharing technical knowledge and best practice across client environments
• Providing senior-level technical support across collaborative systems, applications and standard operating environments
