Job summary

Hemiko in London is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the management of heat network sites and energy centre projects across London and beyond. You will own projects from adoption through operation, coordinate with the Hemiko team, and ensure high availability, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications in an engineering/ operations management or related discipline to degree level.
• Proven experience in operating heat networks or large building services plant.
• Understanding of BMS/SCADA, remote monitoring and data analytics platforms.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Working towards professional registration (IEng/CEng) with a recognised engineering institution.
• NEBOSH or IOSH qualification desirable.
• Knowledge of UK heat network regulatory framework (Ofgem, CP1, HNTAS) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage safe, compliant operation of a portfolio of heat network sites across London and beyond.
• Own projects from adoption through operation, including pricing input from bid to O&M.
• Set up procedures for new heat networks entering the operational phase.
• Maintain high availability via spare parts, remote monitoring and data analysis to cut heat losses.
• Build and manage client relationships and attend regular reporting meetings.
• Lead health and safety on site with risk assessments and permits to work.
• Oversee budgets, scoping of corrective works and energy centre upgrades.
• Support development of new customer offers with technical and pricing input.
