Job summary

Westcountry Schools Trust is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant at Boringdon Primary School in Plympton, Plymouth. This fixed-term, part-time role (25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year) offers a welcoming environment where you will support pupils with SEND and work closely with teachers and families.

The successful candidate will have experience with children, knowledge of Read Write Inc, and the ability to foster independence and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in an educational setting.
• Understanding of how to best support SEND children.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with children and parents.
• Ability to work with teachers, pastoral team and outside agencies to support children's learning and progress.
• Experience of Read Write Inc.
• Ability to help pupils develop independence, self-confidence and social interaction.
• High expectations of pupils' learning and behaviour.
• Enthusiastic, flexible and well-organised with good communication and initiative.
