Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Kilham C of E Primary School is seeking a Nursery Nurse to support a mixed Nursery and Reception class. You will work with the class teacher to provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment and promote children's development in line with the EYFS.

This part-time post (31.25 hours per week, term-time pro rata) requires safeguarding awareness and DBS clearance as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Understanding of play-based learning and EYFS.
• Engaging, self-motivated and a team player.
• Basic IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children.
• Promote children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with EYFS.
• Support individual needs, interests and developmental stages through play-based learning and practical activities.
