Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery in Hitchin is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant to work 11am-3pm, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week all-year round. This part-time role starts immediately and welcomes unqualified applicants, with priority given to those with prior nursery/early years experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on childcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5.
• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities.
• Promote children’s social, emotional and physical development.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety standards.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to observations and learning journals.
