Job summary

Nala Recruitment is collaborating with a nursery to recruit a Lunchtime Assistant in Chipping Norton. The role focuses on supporting lunchtime routines, assisting with meals, and maintaining a calm, safe environment for children.

The ideal candidate will hold an Early Years Level 2 or 3 qualification, demonstrate a caring approach, good communication, teamwork and a genuine interest in child development.

Qualifications

• An Early Years qualification at Level 2 or Level 3.
• Caring and positive approach to working with children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, reliable and responsible approach.
• Genuine interest in supporting children’s care and development.
• Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children during lunchtime and meal times.
• Help children with eating and drinking where appropriate.
• Create a calm and positive environment during lunch.
• Support children with personal care and hygiene needs.
• Ensure children are supervised and safe at all times.
• Help maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic environment.
• Support the wider nursery team when required.
• Build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
• Follow health, safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
