Job summary

Cognita’s Little Downsend Ashtead is inviting an experienced Early Years Educator to support young children's learning and wellbeing. The role is part-time, 3 days per week, for a fixed term from 01 January 2027 to 31 August 2027, with flexible hours and a focus on safeguarding, inclusive practice and teamwork.

You will hold a Level 3 EY qualification and bring strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with families and staff while delivering high-quality early years education.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience working with young children in nursery, pre-school or school setting
• Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Support education, welfare and personal development of young children in a caring environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
• Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive setting.
• Contribute to wraparound care, school events and professional development activities
