Job summary

The University of Exeter is seeking a Registered Nurse to join as Lecturer in Nursing on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.6 FTE) from January 2027 to 24 December 2027, to cover maternity leave. The post sits in the Academy of Nursing within the Department of Health and Care Professions.

You will contribute to teaching, lead modules, design sessions, assess, support students and engage with recruitment and placements, with expected CPD towards HEA Fellowship.

Qualifications

• PhD (or nearing completion) or equivalent experience in the discipline.
• Experience using a range of delivery techniques to engage students.
• Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review.
• Able to work towards HEA Fellowship and CPD attendance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching predominantly in Nursing.
• Lead modules, delivery design and assessment.
• Support student recruitment, placements, outreach.
• Ensure quality assurance and student support.
